How to reduce Stress

 


Stress is a defense mechanism that is activated in our body when faced with alarming situations, so we must learn to train our minds so that they are not constantly on the defensive or in emergency mode in our daily lives.

Too many people currently suffer from stress or anxiety, and the first solution they turn to is alcoholic beverages, excessive coffee, smoking, and other addictive substances, unaware that all of this further increases stress in the body.

So what should you do? First, take a moment to breathe. Pause, inhale, exhale, and calm your body, even if it's just for a minute when you think you need it most, wherever you are. Feel your breathing and feel how you are filling your body with tranquility.

It's important to analyze what is causing your stress so you can find a solution.

When you have negative thoughts, you can tell yourself, "Calm down, it's just a thought in my mind." Never think or speak negatively. If you think you're going to have a horrible day, that everything is going to go wrong, you condition your mind to believe that's the reality, and you'll spend a day feeling defensive and full of stress when that doesn't necessarily have to be the case. Help yourself release that stress by removing negative thoughts from your mind.

There are other tips such as exercising or any physical activity, going out to a garden or being in contact with nature, listening to background music that you like and that relaxes you, watching funny movies or videos, remembering moments that make you laugh, laughter is the best antidote to relax the body and ease the mind, and although this will depend on each person's belief, every morning before I get up I ask God to help me carry on with the day calmly, I ask God to help me achieve the peace that my mind needs and that I can have a relaxed day, that he gives me a calm day and helps me face anything that may come my way.
